I'm a PhD student at Dr. med. Daniel Sasca's lab in the University Medical Center (UMC), Mainz. This position is part of the International PhD Program (IPP) from the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) of Mainz. My project revolves around data analysis, integration and prediction of potential therapeutic treatments for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).Thanks to my Biochemistry Bachelor degree I have a solid professional training about the molecular and cellular functioning of livings systems. There I got experience with wet lab techniques such as Northern Blot, ELISA, qPCR, RNA-Seq, and NGS for polymorphisms identification. Then I started a Master degree in Genetics since I wanted to specialize in the field of human genomics and its biomedical applications. There I got the oportunity to perform my Master thesis in the Javier Martin Ibáñez Group (IPBLN-CSIC), focused on meta-GWAS and HiChIP data analysis to search interesting systemic sclerosis associated SNPs variants present in regulatory, Th17 and Naive T Cells. That was one of the most enriching experiences in my early career and thanks to that I started to be interested in bioinformatics.I specialized further into Bioinformatics by studying a Master degree in Bioinformatics at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), learning to use computational tools for biological and clinical data analysis. I am mostly interested in Omics and gene expression data analysis and how we can learn from them to discover complex disease biomarkers and drug development.
