The SciTech Student Outreach Manager is responsible for recruiting student candidates to the program, reviewing and processing student applications, and acting as SciTech s representative and point-of-contact for all student-related inquires and communicationTo help reach our placement goals, the Student Outreach Manger will work with the Program Director to develop and implement a more strategic outreach initiative as we continue to grow our program•Foster campus relationships to strengthen external awareness and promotion of the program•Contribute ideas for continuous improvement to program processes and tools to help implement positive changesResearch successful methods for targeting recruitment of women and students of color for participation in SciTech•Identify opportunities to expand the program s presence in Greater Minnesota•Maintain accurate records of student applications•Review student applications, assign proper program status online, and follow-up as necessary via email and/or phone•Keep student statuses up to date in online database•Newsletter design and email list management•Assist in conducting SciTech site visits

• Maintains current and develops new relationships with businesses for related job placement opportunities for recent certified IT students.• Acts as a liaison between National Able and jobseekers in the technical industry, with IT & technical job openings• Identifies, screens, evaluates, and recently IT-certified candidates for the available positions in the tech industry.• Keeps abreast of market trends pertaining to new technologies, hiring trends within the industry, certifications, and overall best practices• Obtains and analyzes information about the industry, including hiring trends , training, and program feedback• Utilizes various internet sites, social media, personal networks and knowledge-base to effectively manage resources• Cold calls businesses, assesses qualifications, technology and negotiates opportunities
