My role at EY was within the Global Mobility practice, encompassing consulting on the full breadth of global mobility services required to operate International Assignment programmes at leading multi national organisations. My areas of specialism included the development and implementation of global mobility strategies, management of global client teams, advising on global compensation plans and deep expat tax expertise.I also held a key role within the leadership of the EY Global Mobility team within the Thames Valley as local business leader with responsibility for the day to day operation of a team of 90 people in areas such as resourcing, recruitment, group financial performance and business development.

Within my role at Deloitte I was part of their International Assignment Services group serving a variety of expat employers with a range from small mobility programmes through to large scale programmes operated by multinational Blue Chip companies. My focus was on the full range of expatriate tax services with deep technical expertise in the UK tax system from an expat and international employment tax perspective. I also oversaw the operation of large global programs ensuring provision of joined up services to assignees as well as ensuring both cost optimisation and compliance to the employer.I was also extensively involved in People matters within the team such as recruitment, retention and performance management matters as a group management role which I held for 5 years in the Thames Valley practice.
