Dr. Aasif Mohmad Lone has joined the National Himalayan Cryospheric Research group in January 2022. His keen interests revolve around the reconstruction of hydroclimatic/environmental variability using multiproxy data from lacustrine and tree ring proxy records. He is a good mountaineer and possesses excellent fieldwork skills for collection of research samples in the high-altitude regions of Kashmir Himalaya. Currently, he is engaged in reconstructing the historical variability (last ~3 centuries) in hydro-meteorological variables using tree ring data from the Jhelum and Chenab basins of Kashmir Himalaya.
