Alongside my full-time job at SRDC Software, I worked as a course instructor at the Department of Computer Engineering offering C Programming courses. Lectured, prepared exams and graded to ∼200 freshman and sophomores in each semester.

I worked as a teaching assistant; lectured laboratory sessions and recitations, and prepared and evaluated many programming assignments.

While I was a teaching assistant at METU-CENG, I worked as a technical consultant to support the product development of CENGSOFT Ltd. (later, became a part of SOMERA). We developed a web application and I mainly took part in the back-end development.

While I was a teaching assistant at METU-CENG, I worked as an academic R&D consultant to support an international research project. I contributed to the architecture design and semantic modelling of large system services and their dynamic integration to support interoperability of services on the fly.

Being a key member in a large research project, I designed a web-based API, developed its back-end and the web front-end so that the end-users can interact with a software testing engine. I implemented various networking standards in the back-end, and developed a rich internet application with Adobe Flex (Apache Flex) which was very exciting back then.

I worked as a software developer to support the ongoing R&D projects which were mainly on service-oriented architectures, peer-to-peer communication and databases.

I contributed to the organization of seminars and workshops where professionals from Microsoft introduced the .NET framework to the students. I attended several events of Microsoft in Istanbul and Ankara.
