I provide leadership and management of end-to-end processes and activities related to review and implementation of program changes (Pharmacy, Dental, Medical Supplies & Equipment, Vision, Mental Health & Wellness, and Medical Transportation). In 2017, I lead a team of analysts in the development of the policy to support, the first of its kind, transition of a federally managed drug plan to a provincial agency. More recently, I played a strategic role in developing and implementing a new Vision, Dental and Medical Supplies & Equipment plan in partnership with Pacific Blue Cross. These plans were specific developed to close the gap in health outcomes for First Nations across British Columbia. Using a strengths-based lens, significant engagement with First Nations across the province enable us to develop a plan that is community driven, and nation based. Proactively manage expenses by focusing on operational efficiencies resulting in a 42% reduction in service cost over a period of double-digit membership growth.
