I'm involved in full-cycle recruitment for roles across our network. I work with hiring managers to understand the needs of their open roles; I source and actively recruit candidates for roles; I maintain communications with applicants and prospects to ensure a positive candidate experience; I build relationships with others in the education space to ensure a diverse pipeline. Most importantly, I do all I can to make the hiring manager's process as seamless as possible, to ensure the candidate has a positive and informative experience, and to hire the best people that will impact our scholars' success.

I recruited exceptional educators to positively impact the lives of our students at KIPP Austin Public Schools. During my time at KIPP Austin, I was responsible for sourcing, cultivating, and interviewing applicants; working with hiring managers to understand their needs and manage the hiring cycle; managing our substitute teacher pool; and, building and maintaining relationships with universities and their career centers.

I created and implemented recruitment strategies to bring high achieving freshmen into the Rebel family. I was responsible for creating and implementing targeted communication flows and various other engagement opportunities. During my time in this position, I worked with the Honors College, Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering, and other academic units to coordinate campus visits and other outreach events. I also maintained a responsibility for various local high schools, walking students and families through the college-going process, from admissions to New Student Orientation registration.

I created and sustained relationships with high school counselors, school personnel, and community members to strategize and implement recruitment efforts for new students to University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I also had a primary responsibility of guiding students through the application and admissions process, and maintaining contact with students to ensure their matriculation and attendance. Recruitment efforts I was involved with include high school presentations, college fairs, targeted recruitment events, and New Student Orientation. I have a high personal and professional commitment to keeping local talent in Las Vegas, and bringing the best and brightest students to our community through education at UNLV.

I worked with high school counselors and other school personnel to coordinate outreach efforts to prospective students and parents about Nevada State College. Additionally, my responsibilities included conducting college presentations and representing Nevada State College to prospective students and parents at high schools, college/career fairs, and community events; and working one-on-one with prospective students to guide them through the college application process, including information about degree programs, admissions, financial aid, and scholarships. I ensured that students understood the value of a Nevada State College education, and had access to the information required to apply for, attend, and be successful at Nevada State College.

I assisted the United Way of Southern Nevada achieve its goal of ensuring a brighter tomorrow for all in southern Nevada. I accomplished this by managing workplace campaigns in the media & communications, construction & design, and education industries. I built and stewarded relationships with various employee campaign coordinators to educate employees about how they can advocate, volunteer, and give to make our community stronger. Additionally, I strategized and implemented increased partnership opportunities between United Way and various companies. I also assisted with workplace campaign special events to maximize annual funds raised.

I assisted the United Way of Southern Nevada achieve its mission of uniting leadership, engaging the community, and focusing resources to create lasting change in the lives of every individual in our community. I accomplished this by going to various businesses and organizations to inform them about the impact that United Way of Southern Nevada is having here in our community, and informing employees about how they can contribute to fighting for our community.
