Dealing with data and manipulating it for business needs is an extremely technical process and often needs a high level of skill and data analytics tools. But while doing so, companies often forget the other aspect of finding meaningful results that are aligned with the business and financial needs of an organization - Communication. In my experience, this has often proven the big underdog while a company aspires to be successful. A data analyst although may be technically gifted but at the same time, company expectations need to managed and need to be conveyed in a precise manner to better determine goals as data is an extremely broad spectrum to dive into. A definite game plan and an idea of what is needed out of a data task is crucial to use the data on hand appropriately. Dealing with this is where I think my strength lies as I feel I can contribute to both sides of the coin in this analogy as I am technically sound and am willing to talk to colleagues who don't necessarily have a technical background but do have extremely vital insights about what your end goal should and what needs to be done in order to achieve it.
