We started as an authorized vendor for specialty medicines to various hospitals that served the Indian Defence Forces (Ministry of Defence). They acknowledged our efforts with the 'Performance Certificate' given to efficient suppliers. Soon, we started Named Patient Supplies to Patient groups in various countries where the regulations permitted such imports. Earlier, these patients had really difficult times paying for the exorbitant prices for the medicines. Prior to Pragati Healthcare, our group company had been into pharmaceutical distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals for more than 45 years. We were amongst the pioneers in the region to commence the distribution of Oncology products to hospitals and doctors. Our focus on 24*7 Cold chain maintenance and appropriate packaging and handling earned us a reputation amongst the Oncologists and patients. This was at a time when in India, round the clock electricity and cold chain infrastructure was in its nascent stages.
