As a Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Diakon, I am dedicated to fostering the well-being and recovery of my clients through compassionate and evidence-based care. My role allows me to leverage my extensive background in behavioral health and sport psychology to support individuals on their journey to improved mental health.Previously, I served as a Care Delivery Manager at a leading online mental health platform for teens and young adults. In this capacity, I oversaw the delivery of high-quality, personalized care to hundreds of clients across multiple states. I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, and coaches to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and outcomes. Additionally, I played a key role in developing and implementing new programs, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our care delivery system.I hold a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, with a specialization in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My career has included significant roles at Penn Medicine as a Behavioral Health Care Manager and at Western Psychiatric Hospital of UPMC as an Assistant Program Director. I have also provided mental health and performance consulting services to athletes, coaches, and teams, helping them achieve their optimal potential and well-being.Key skills I bring to my work include leadership, mentorship, and crisis intervention. I am proud to have been a keynote speaker at NAMI, where I shared insights on mental health and crisis intervention strategies.My professional aspirations are centered around advancing mental health policy and assuming a leadership role, such as a director, where I can influence and shape the future of mental health care.
