With the vision to prepare Temple students for a fulfilling university experience, the mission of New Student & Family Programs is to integrate new students and families to the Temple community through innovative and inclusive programming. The Hospitality Team Student Worker will contribute to this mission this summer in their role. The Hospitality Team Student Worker serves as a member of the Division of Student Affairs and reports to the Program Coordinator of New Student and Family Programs.• Assists students and families regularly on the phone and via email with all aspects of New Student and FamilyPrograms.• Connect students and families to the services, programs, resources, and involvement opportunities available at TempleUniversity.• Arrives and/or logins for scheduled work hours promptly; arrange for coverage if unanticipated conflicts in schedulingoccur.• Provides general office assistance.• Possesses knowledge of Temple University.• Provides a welcoming, inclusive environment for staff, students, and families.• Demonstrates professional and effective communication skills.• Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities:• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.• Strong organization skills.• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.• Competency with remote learning/engagement technology.• Proven ability to foster positive interactions and communicate with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and otherstakeholders.• Ability to work with parents and family members.
