As a current junior at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, majoring in Public Financial Management, I get to mix my background in the business world and real-life issues I am passionate about, such as public policies, uplifting minority voices, and the environment. I also minor in Ethnomusicology and Folklore; I consider myself a music lover and find that culture and tradition are key aspects of each person’s personal story, tying in the beauty of the uniqueness of each individual’s narrative. I grew up in Dhahran City, a relatively small yet lively place on the eastern side of Saudi Arabia. I hope to bring a diverse perspective from a foreign market point of view to the fields in which I intend to work. Moreover, inclusivity and uplifting marginalized voices are important to me, and I hope to work in a company that aligns with these values. I am currently seeking financial and accounting internships to expand my experience. Being a Hoosier and a pre-business student at Kelley before switching majors has helped me value expanding my network and being more open and less introverted. Prior to coming to Indiana University, I worked at Kempinski, a Luxury 5-star Hotel. This experience gave me extensive training in the hospitality industry as a receptionist and host. It improved my communication skills, made me more outgoing, and helped me become a more effective team player and to value teamwork. Overall, my goal is to bring a unique and fresh perspective to all my endeavors and assist those around me.
