As a Head of the TBIC, I used to have the following major responsibilities:• Develop and implement the strategic and action plans for the incubation center• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders • Develop and implement a robust process for startup selection, onboarding and guiding in the incubation process • Recruit and onboard a team of experienced mentors and advisors• Organize workshops, training programs, and exchange on topics relevant to startup success• Create and nurture a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals around the incubation center.• Organize networking events, pitch competitions, and industry-specific forums to connect startups with potential partners, collaborators, and investors.• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among startups.• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of incubatee • Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of the incubation center, identifying areas for improvement and adaptation.• Prepare and submit reports to stakeholders on the center's activities and achievementsAfter stepping down from a Head of TBIC, I continues to provide business idea development trainings titled “Learn how to build your business idea and how to sell it” which included contents like design thinking, business modeling and validation, prototyping and pitching. Currently, I'm also supporting the center by providing business coaching and mentoring for incubatees.

YEEP is a project carried out by Hawassa University Ethiopia and a team of volunteers from Switzerland. The main partners are the Swiss association “Deventure”, who is also legally responsible for the project on the Swiss side. In Ethiopia, the Institute of Technology at Hawassa University has integrated YEEP into its activities to promote entrepreneurship among students.
