Technical Architect for RAD Studio product. Delphi Object Pascal language design & compiler.o Key role in leading the overall technical direction of the Delphi and C++Builder product lines. o Played a key role in identifying all the various assets related to the developer tools group, including all the internally developed tooling and technology.o Worked with the executive staff (CEO, CFO, etc…) and others within the dev tools group in creating and delivering a presentation to all the potential suitors.

o Providing architectural oversight to the entire Delphi/C#Builder product line.o Directly interact with upper management at the Vice President level and above.o Further define and implement critical core IDE subsystems and technologies.o Review and recommend submitted product enhancements.o Redesigned internal IDE architecture to support many simultaneously installed “personalities.”o Lead a team of 6-7 engineers working on the core IDE architecture.o Internally, the IDE supported a C# personality, a Delphi for Win32 personality and a Delphi for .NET personality, hosted simultaneously in the IDE.o Developed a pluggable architecture that allows “controllers” to dynamically plug themselves into a “module.” This allowed all the support code necessary for the VCL form designer to co-exist with the support code required for the Windows Forms form designer or the ASP.NET designer.o Did the initial fully functional port of the Delphi/C++Builder IDE to Linux for the Kylix project. Maintained a single source code-base between Delphi for Windows and Kylix for Linux.o Kylix IDE linked directly to WineLIBs and compiled to native Linux ELF based files and not Windows PE files.o Instrumental in defining and developing a new application partitioning technology called “packages,” based on Windows DLLs.o Designed and implemented Borland’s first commercially viable component based, visually designed, web-server extension framework, WebBroker.o Developed a whole plug-in architecture used both internally and published externally.o Co-architected new internal IDE structure in order to integrate Borland C++Builder into Delphi IDE codebase.o Integrated new editor kernel technology into Borland Pascal IDE.o Ported Turbo Vision to 32bit based on internally developed 32bit DOS extender technology that also implemented the Win32 Console APIs.o Designed editor painting algorithm that sped up syntax highlighted text rendering by 50-100%
