Extensive experience in the software development process, tools, management and mentorship. Provide leadership and analytical skills necessary to fulfill market and product requirements. Able to create solutions to solve many interrelated problems. Extensive experience in the creation, extension and maintenance of reusable object oriented application and component frameworks. Works effectively with cross-discipline teams across several onshore and offshore development centers. Regularly engage directly with the customers through online seminars, blogs, email, forums, and in-person conferences.I started my career by designing and building magnetic card Access Control and encoding equipment. This included schematic design, printed circuit layout, component specifications, enclosure design, and all firmware. I also designed and wrote a software testing harness for this equipment that was used extensively on the production floor. After that experience, I moved into pure software for the PC with Borland Software Corp. I started on the Turbo Pascal team as a junior engineer working under the tutelage of industry greats such as Anders Hejlsberg (now a Distinquished Engineer for Microsoft) and Chuck Jazdzewski (now a Senior Engineer for Microsoft). With over 23 years of experience with Borland and the Turbo Pascal, now Delphi team, I've led the development and maintenance of the Delphi (now Borland Developer Studio) IDE for at least 8 of those years. I can also count several years of experience with Linux development as the Delphi language and environment was ported to Linux and released as Kylix. Included with the Delphi experiences is extensive work on another offshoot from Delphi, C++Builder which uses the same component framework that was developed for Delphi and is now also hosted with the Embarcadero RAD Studio.
