Began working with computer systems in 1982 with the US Army BCS (Ballistical Computer Systems) and switched over in 1990 to designing, programming and installation of MUMPS based Practice Management Systems for private medical practice offices. In 1994 moved to San Diego as a senior programmer to support county based behavioral health information systems running on DEC micro VAX and leading a team of junior programmers where I was responsible for supporting San Diego County, LA County, Imperial County, Orange County, Tarzana Treatment Center, San Luis Obispo County Drug and Treatment Centers. Later hired by United Behavioral Health and was the IT Manager for over 13 years until laid off due to budget cuts. Became an independent consultant serving medical and business offices. I have a well rounded and solid knowledge of multiple operating and network systems. My database skills include administrating and transactional programming. I have lead several programming and support teams throughout my career that were successful and exceeded customer expectations. I have a passion for IT and for contributing to improving systems.
