This involves liaising with Network Control Officers and Train Signallers to ensure the track is free from rail movement, which can therefore enable workers to safely work on track.Key work activities involve:-Assessing track conditions, identifying potential hazards and risks to work personal.-Identifying appropriate track protection needed once hazard inspection has been effectively undertaken.- Carrying out track protection for various work-sites.- Briefing Workers of Work site Protection Plan arrangements & ensuring that it is adhered to at all times.-Responsible for enforcing safe working procedures.- Implementing Absolute Signal Blocking (ASB).- Implementing Track Occupancy Authority (TOA).- Monitoring and effectively safeguarding work-sites from rail movement.- Filling out appropriate documentation such as the work-site protection plans and TOA forms when needed.-Working within Local Possession Authorities (LPA) and liaising with other work site personnel to ensure all works are carried out in the safest possible manner.
