Abbas Karami is a passionate research scientist with over 10 years of experience in analytical chemistry, nanomaterial chemistry, bioconjugate chemistry, modified oligonucleotides, and DNA-based nanostructure engineering. His specific research interest is in disposable biosensors, developing point-of-care diagnostic tools, and miniaturizing biosensors using electrochemical techniques. He has exceptional expertise in implementing the polymer language of nucleic acids to design nanoparticle-DNA interfaces used as colorimetric and electrochemical transducers in biosensor technology. In addition, he has self-taught knowledge and experience in the field of molecular biology. He is passionate about using his expertise and experience to develop solutions that address biomedical challenges. His efforts in this field have been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the Khwarizmi Youth Award from Iran's Ministry of Science and the Gold Medal for Young Inventors from the World Intellectual Property Organization.
