Africa Oyé is the UKs largest celebration of African music and culture. I work alongside the Artistic Director and Marketing team to organise the annual festival and additional project throughout the year. In May 2015, I was approached by BeatFreeks to act as a Brand Ambassador for their Heritage Lottery Funded project Routes2Roots, a multi-media campaign questioning the role of heritage, identity and culture to young people in Birmingham. Birmingham Museum And Art Gallery

I helped to co-curate a Museum Exhibition 'Style Africa' at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The exhibition opened in April 2012 for six months as part of the Cultural Olympiad in Birmingham for the 2012 Olympic Games. BMAG received a £21,200 Young Roots grant for the project which was to explore the museum's West African textile collection and curate an exhibition which exhibition attracted over 12,000 visitors in the first week.I acquired many skills here including:- Exhibition planning- Research of the collections stories- Collection handling, storage and conservation requirements- Exhibition content research- Exhibition installation
