I am currently in my 10th year as a Math teacher. I have taught both in the integrated pathways and the traditional math pathways in high school education. I worked for KIPP: North Carolina teaching Math for 6y years as well as AP Psychology earning a higher passing average on the AP test than the our state average. I have also taught for 2 years at Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, IL. While there I served a math interventionist working to develop systems and interventions for students with the greatest needs. I am currently working in my second year at KIPP: Colorado, at KIPP Northeast Denver Leadership Academy. In my ten years of teaching I have served as Grade Level Chair, Math department Chair, and as an Instructional Coach. Last year I was a recipient of the Harriet Ball Excellence in Teaching Award. In addition to teaching, I have served as a head girls and boys tennis team, as well as assisted coached in soccer. I have also worked as a tournament director for the Boylan Tennis center, and ran group and private lessons as well as leagues. I am currently working for the KIPP Foundation as curriculum writer, helping them re-write and edit their Algebra 1 AP for All Curriculum.
