RELENTLESS describes Abbey and after 25 years in hospitality, she has embarked on a new career and this journey begins with CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate. Her hospitality legacy can be traced to many successful hotel management companies & hotel brands, with positions of leadership ranging in Front Office Management, Revenue Management, Business Travel, & Group Sales & Marketing. She has consistently been the hospitality trendsetter in account development for retention, reactivation, & recruitment formulating revenue to exceed her annual goal, & leading the way for financial growth year over year for her employers. Her first notable milestone was awarded through the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association where Abbey received the inaugural HSMAI 2015-2016 Sales Leader of the Year award given to a recipient that demonstrates the ability to fuel sales, inspire marketing, & optimize revenue; that was a monumental point in her career. She remains active with OHLA as the Chair for the Women In Lodging Council.Beyond her successful sales achievements, Abbey is heavily involved in both professional & service organizations. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International – Ohio Chapter and served on the board as Director of Member Care for 3 years before moving into the Office of the President for another 3-year term as President Elect, Award Winning Chapter President recognized by MPI Global, & Immediate Past President; and now she continues to serve on various committees. Her most recent achievement was announced at the MPI Ohio Chapter Annual Recognition and Awards Event when Abbey received the 2021-2022 Christy Selby Lifetime Achievement Award making her the youngest in the 50 year history of the organization to earn this title. As a REALTOR, Abbey is a member of the Licking County Board of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, National Associations of Realtors, Columbus MLS, MLS NOW, and American Relocation Alliance.She has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Newark, Ohio for a decade where her time in the club can be traced from many volunteer roles including the Board of Directors where she was the 2nd female to be named President in the 100 years of the Club’s Charter. She extends into the community where she currently volunteers at Kiwanis Pancake Day in February, Strawberry Festival that is a 2 ½ day annual festival in June, and Fish Fry in September. All three of these signature events support Camp O’Bannon in Newark, Ohio.
