The Meeting Coordinator is responsible for several events within the AGD both on site here in Chicago or off site. The AGD Headquarters hosts several meetings year long for committees of 4-20 people. I am responsible for arranging food and beverage for each of these meetings as well as making hotel reservations and transportation arrangements as necessary for out of town members. There are also several meetings that take place in different locations across the country for which I am responsible for finding a venue, getting a contract approved, making travel and housing arrangements for those attending as well as planning the meeting itself. The largest event the AGD holds is their annual Scientific Session and Exhibits which hosts roughly 3,000 attendees. I am responsible for several aspects of this event including, but not limited to, registration for both attendees and exhibitors, housing, special event details, and any off site events/ activities.

As Marketing Generalist I am responsible for getting the company's name out there to all social media outlets as well as the lighting and events community. My focus is to present our company and what we do in a professional and unique manner to help increase business opportunities and interest.

I handled the details of every event that was handed over to me. I detailed their menus, room setups, audio visual, transportation, hotel block and any other needs requested by the client. I also made sure the contracts for each group were being upheld and all requirements agreed upon were being met by not just the client but also the hotel and operations staff.

It is my responsibility as Convention Services Manager to finalize all of the details of the event. These details include menus, floor plans, equipment needs, and anything else the client requests. I work closely with the client to ensure that their event is a success!

As Event Coordinator, I was in charge of booking and planning all private events. Once the event was booked, I would plan the details such as their menu choices, their room set-up, and any possible decorations they requested. I would also schedule the appropriate staff needed.As Head Server, I worked very closely with the General Manager to make sure that everything in the restaurant was running smoothly and to lend extra support to the other servers if needed, as well as handling my own tables.

As Resident Advisor, I was responsible for the 40+ residents living in my hall. It was my job to make sure that they were not only safe, but also making sure they were following the campus rules, and documenting any incidents when they were not.Another big part of my job was to ensure that my residents felt "at home" in the dorms. I did this by planning activities where they could all get together and have fun. These activities included game nights, movie nights, hiking, beach, and (in the winter) sledding trips, as well as simply going to dinner together in the cafeteria together.
