I am currently a student at the University Of Manchester studying psychology. My main areas of interest are how biology effects the way in which we behave, the complexities of our brain and how dementia and other memory disorders effects behaviour. I'm hoping to find some work experience to further find where I would specifically like to work in the field of psychology as I'm still unsure with what specific route i would like to take. Throughout my life, psychology has been something I've been extremely interested in and this was supported by my love of my a level course in psychology. Starting in September I will be undergoing a year long placement at the University of Manchester as a Research assistant in Cognitive Neuroscience more specifically our research will involve participants with stroke damage in the thalamus and how this effects their memory. I am extremely excited to undertake this role and further my practical research skills in a professional environment.
