• Created a research plan in response to large numbers of failing students in 9th and 10th grade and revised curriculum, classroom practices, and community outreach in response to the teacher research, which increased student success by about 30% in ELA courses• Facilitated year-long meetings with all history and English teachers in both the middle and high school in which we aligned writing and reading support systems, sequenced grade level skill and content mastery, reallocated books and resources to best meet the needs of a wide range of learners• Advocated, developed, and executed a school-wide plan for de-tracking, which included adjustments to the master schedule and implementing blocks for some courses• Edited and reviewed the school’s Distinguished School application and facilitated the school site visit.
