I sit on the UAIC Investment Committee, alongside 17 other Analysts responsible for managing the student fund totalling $30,000 NZD. In my role, I receive valuable mentoring and development opportunities to further my understanding of finance and investing. Each semester, I construct and present a stock pitch to the committee, and vote to pass or reject other investments into the fund.

In this role I assist the research team with producing market updates and subscriber reports. This involves maintaining a high-quality database, collecting data, and visiting construction sites to monitor development activity.

During this internship I gained exposure to three different business lines and a range of industries. I had the opportunity to work on client sites, shadow Partners at the firm, participate in high-profile meetings and present on a range of topics.

I created social media content to spread awareness of WRT sustainability initiatives, including zero-waste and water-saving campaigns. I worked within brand guidelines, generated new ideas and communicated effectively with mentors. The campaigns received high levels of viewer interactions and extremely positive feedback.

During my time at DDs Country Café, I contributed to a fun and highly-motivated work environment. I was recognised by the owners for my efficient communication and problem-solving abilities and worked upward into positions managing and training staff. The role required great emotional intelligence and forced me to develop my own leadership style to get the most out of people with different skills and attitudes. I resolved customer complaints and delivered feedback the Owners when asked, helping to improve outcomes, retain customers and increase operational efficiency. I was also trusted with cash-handling duties and key-holder responsibilities
