My early professional skills were developed working in the C-Suite of a very large and successful Boston area hospital where each day presented new challenges. I was the supporting admin. to the nursing executive team where I was trusted with highly confidential information and knowledge. I gained experience working with policy implementation and change, HR procedures, staffing, payroll, budgets, event planning, licensure, medical ethics, legal issues, complex schedule management, program coordination, project assistance, customer support, and data analysis. In those early years of my career, I did not fully understand how important this experience would be later on in life. The key themes of documentation, efficiency, procedure, budgets, cross-functional coordination have continued to be the backbone of my present-day work experiences. Additionally, as a result of this exposure, I am fully aware of what makes excellent documentation and how important efficiency is in day to day operations.In the majority of my professional roles, I have been the first person to fill that position. I was the first Executive Assistant, first Office Manager, first Operations Manager, and first Contractor. I've stepped into these new roles armed with an ambiguous job description, hitting the ground running and made it my own. I sought opportunities to make contributions, create organization, drive efficiency and accuracy all while making an effort to contribute to the company and team culture. My goal is always to minimize silos, promote collaboration, and get the work done together; as a team.I am a self directed and driven individual who takes pride in the quality of her work and performance. I have a demonstrated proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. I am technically and intellectually curious with a very confident "I can figure this out" approach to getting anything done that comes my way. When I am not working, I enjoy honing my current skills or learning new ones. I am currently enrolled in an online course to learn coding. Something that I didn't know truly interested me until I started working in the tech industry. Additionally, I have a few books on the nightstand that I am chipping away at which includes "People Powered: How Communities Can Supercharge Your Business, Brand, and Teams" by Jono Bacon, "3 Months to No. 1" by Will Coombe, and "Herding Cats and Coders" by Greg Ross-Munro. As illustrated by my reading selection; I really enjoy variety, learning new ideas and skills. This is why Operations makes me tick!
