I am involved in the planning and supporting of group activity and peer support sessions for children suffering through bereavement. Sessions include therapy activities centring on emotional well-being, emotion management, self-care, and safety planning. I work alongside a team of professionals, aiding in the initial assessment of a young person's needs.

I volunteer an average of 2-4 hours per week, responding to individuals undergoing emotional distress or mental health crises. I perform risk assessments for self-harm and suicidal thoughts, de-escalating suicidal texters and developing safety plans. I provide appropriate and empathetic counselling skills throughout the conversation to help individuals.

Supported students experiencing emotional and psychological distress, behavioural difficulties, and those with special educational needs such as those with autism. I worked within a multidisciplinary team to develop and reflect on individual students' treatment plans, and offered 1:1 support in the classroom to ensure children's needs were being met.
