A Civil Engineer within the Development Infrastructure team supporting team leaders in highways schemes within the private sector.

Working within the Waste Management and Infrastructure department supporting engineers on civils design and modelling.I am able to carry out design layouts for waste transfer stations andHousehold Waste Recycling Facilities. I carry out 3D eartworks modelling using AutoCAD Civil 3D and have a basic understanding of Windes where I have had experience designing sewage network and quick storage estimates. I currently liase with internal and external clients, and support a project manager and principle engineer on projects.

Worked as a technician within the Structural department producing 2D and 3D drawings for medium scale projects. I was able to implement and maintain a methodical drawing system, and controlled drawing outputs to a high standard. I liased with engineers and junior members of the CAD team to ensure work was completed to budget and for deadlines. I was able to validate engineering models for checking purposes, as well as understake basic take down load calculations.

I began my career in Water and Wastewater department in Cardiff as an office junior. As my role developed, I began undertaking CAD duties. I transferred to the structures department as a CAD technician where I formed part of a team of 3 technicians. I was competant in undertaking drawing production on large scale projects. I was able to produce 2D sections, general arrangements and key details, as well as manipulating 3D structural models.
