👋 I'm a passionate and dedicated Midwife, committed to supporting families through the transformative journey of pregnancy and birth. Since completing my Midwifery qualification in 2020, I have continually expanded my expertise through advanced education and diverse practical experiences.🏥 Professional Background:After qualifying, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Advanced Professional Practice, including becoming a Professional Midwifery Advocate. My clinical journey has been rich and varied, involving extensive work in both a tertiary unit and in community settings with mixed-risk caseloads. Currently, I serve in a rotational role across hospital and community settings and am an active member of a team developing an antenatal education program within our trust.🎓 Academic Achievements:During my student years, I was deeply involved in midwifery leadership as Chair of the Midwifery Society, Peer-Assisted Leader, Student Ambassador, and Course Representative. My commitment was recognised when I was nominated for the RCM Student Midwife of the Year in my final year and selected for the prestigious Council of Deans '150 Leaders program.🧘 Holistic Interests:I am a certified yoga instructor with training in hatha, restorative and vinyasa yoga as well as pregnancy and postnatal yoga, and a trained hypnobirthing instructor with KG Hypnobirthing. These qualifications enable me to offer holistic support and education, enhancing physiological births and empowering parents-to-be with knowledge and relaxation techniques. I am also trained in biomechanics fo birth and will be completing the advanced course later this year.📘 Research and Education:I am on the brink of completing my NIPE checker qualification and am currently working towards publishing my Master’s dissertation, based on women's experiences of yoga in pregnancy. My interests focus on physiological-based care and the evidence supporting birthing out of typical guidance, advocating for informed choices and personalised care.💬 Personal Philosophy:My practice is rooted in the belief that birth is profoundly individual and that every family deserves support that resonates with their unique journey. I am dedicated to utilising an evidence-based approach and advocating for women's decisions in their birth experiences.
