British Citizen + Australian Permanent Resident Abbie graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia in 2022, with a Bachelor of Design majoring in Fashion, and minoring in Photography. Having received numerous commendations from the Head of School of Design and the Built Environment (DBE) at Curtin throughout her studies, Abbie has developed a comprehensive set of skills. Ranging from sewing to using Adobe software. Having completed her degree, Abbie received membership to the Vice Chancellor’s List and was awarded the Women in the Design and the Built Environment Professions Head of School Student Prize for Fashion. Leveraging her experience in the fashion retail industry, Abbie has developed sound commercial knowledge and an eye for promoting current trends - working as both a Sales Advisor (2018-2022) and Visual Merchandiser (2022-present) for H&M.Abbie’s distinctive creative vision is heavily influenced by fashion history, theory, and breaking norms. Abbie deconstructs, redesigns, and resurrects the fundamentals of these influences in a subtle but noticeable manner in her collections. Abbie appreciates using both traditional and new practices of design, creating a more sustainable approach in the fashion industry.
