As a dedicated advocate for community engagement and sustainability, my journey began during my studies at McMaster University, where I developed a deep passion for addressing environmental and social challenges. This passion has guided me through over a decade of work fostering meaningful connections between people, ideas, and communities. In my role as the Community Engagement Coordinator at McMaster University, I have designed leadership programs and innovative undergraduate curriculum that are interdisciplinary, student-led, experiential, and community-focused. These initiatives empower students to take action on pressing issues while building stronger ties to the communities they serve.Beyond my university work, I am the proud Owner of brightlinks consulting, where I provide communications and social media strategy to businesses and organizations. Whether identifying brand strategies, growing businesses online presence, or launching new ventures, I help others tell their stories and amplify their impact while having fun along the way.As the Co-Chair of Cycle Hamilton, I am committed to creating safer, more accessible streets for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Through initiatives like Kidical Mass and Bike to Work Day, I’ve worked to build a community that embraces active and sustainable transportation. In 2023, I earned my Master’s in Leadership and Community Engagement from York University. This experience deepened my understanding of how to create change in partnership with communities and reinforced my belief that collaboration is key to solving today’s complex challenges. At the heart of all my work is a commitment to empowering others, strengthening communities, and leaving a positive impact for future generations.
