Management & General:▪ Responsible for the oversight of more than 200 staff members and ensuring best practice standards are carried out in the providing integrated special education.▪ Restructured administration of organization with a focus on continued professional development and empowerment.▪ Achieved fundraising growth of 30% during a time of economic downturn.Program Development:▪ Established ten new programs including a mainstream pre-school program for children with special needs, achieving organizational objective of serving individuals with special needs from age 3 through adulthood.▪ Collaboratively developed a community-based employment opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities. Project has dramatically increased community awareness, and was replicated at second site within two years.▪ Through technical assistance and consultation, took the organization from grassroots to acknowledged authority in the TEACCH structured teaching methodology, earning an international reputation for excellence in serving individuals with special needs.▪ Established partnerships with local universities, providing a ongoing pool of volunteers / mentors.▪ Dramatically expanded integrated summer recreational programming – tripling number of camp participants and expanding network of host camp sites.Development / Motivation:▪ Expanded and re-energized Board of Directors and Board of Trustees creating a dynamic environment of commitment and cooperation.▪ Involved personnel in goal setting, resulting in dramatically increased productivity and employee satisfaction.▪ Built a loyal client base through personal attention, quality programs/services, and consistent follow-through.▪ Formulated persuasive face-to-face meeting strategies, letters, and documents, frequently influencing decision makers (brought in the single largest cash donation in the history of the organization).
