Abbis Mahmoud is an accomplished Canadian Business Impresario committed to his mission of selflessly helping those in need. He is the founder of the DreamMind Group, a portfolio that operates nightclubs and restaurants in Ottawa and Toronto, publishing, real estate and construction. 2020 brought on many global challenges. In response to the desperate needs of the community, he founded Operation Ramzieh; a charity organization supported by community programs. Through various initiatives, and with the assistance of thousands of volunteers across the province, boxes of essential necessities continue to be delivered to those in need. To date, Operation Ramzieh has fed over 273,000 people in Ontario; and serves as a critical care provider in support of Ottawa’s Human Needs Task Force. Operation Ramzieh continues to coordinate efforts with the task force by ensuring that reactive measures are in place to address the emerging and critical community needs including food, financial, and security requirements of seniors, women and those requiring support.In response to ongoing pandemic mitigation efforts, he launched the Canadian Health Team. Its mission is to offer Canadians the highest quality PPE products to help fight the spread of COVID-19. Through the Canadian Health Team, he led production efforts by spearheading the construction of a state-of-the-art sterile fabrication plant in London Ontario producing medically certified masks. To date, these sovereignly manufactured Canadian masks have supplied over 6000 volunteers across the province in support of Operation Ramzieh initiatives. Shifting focus on doing more to support global humanitarian relief; Abbis led efforts by delivering monumental assistance in Lebanon and Syria extending to refugee camps in both countries. Through exhaustive fundraising efforts and private donations, he satisfied critical gaps by ensuring the successful distribution of over 400K tons of food, critical medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and ambulances.
