Hi! My name is Abby Dix. I am currently a student at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a junior in high school most of my life revolves around academics. However, when not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In school, I take a handful of Advanced Placement and Honors classes. I am currently enrolled in Honors Entrepreneurial Problem Solving (EPS) where we partner with local businesses and help them solve problems they may have, such as low sales or community engagement. I am also involved in Ravenscroft Ambassadors which gives me the opportunity to tour new and prospective students and families. As a member of Ravenscroft Ambassadors I am a moderator for student-led new teacher interviews as well. Outside of school I fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. In the three consecutive years I have participated in this program I raised approximately $90,000. I am also an active member of the Washington International Horse Show Junior Committee and I enjoy riding horses competitively. I am interested in majoring in marketing during college. This led me to intern with a local food and lifestyle marketing company during the summer of 2022. However, as a Carolina Hurricanes fan, my goal is to work for a sports team in the future.
