As a Project Engineer, I supported Southface's research and technical assistance efforts.Research:- Supported U.S. Department of Energy programs, such as Building America and the Advanced Commercial Buildings Initiative.- Developed and executed building energy, water, and air quality monitoring systems in over 15 buildings.- Analyzed minute-level monitoring data to evaluate technology performance and areas for improvement. - Created tools and calculators to assist energy auditors and facility managers with efficiency upgrades.- Co-authored 3 publications as a result of the research.Technical Assistance:- Conducted energy and water audits on over 500,000 square feet of buildings.- Summarized assessment results into reports and presented results to clients.- Assisted clients with obtaining bids and implementing energy and water efficiency upgrades.- Performed field testing (e.g., blower door testing, air flow measurements, etc.).

As a tutor at Clemson's Academic Success Center, I provided support for over 20 students enrolled in Structural Mechanics and Structural Analysis courses. Through sessions offered 8 hours per week, I sought to develop students' study skills and increase their comprehension of the course material.I also created and delivered presentations to groups, focusing on time management, effective study habits, and test taking skills.

As an intern at Green Cape Initiative, I engaged with government leaders, industries, and municipalities to increase communication concerning environmental regulations and initiatives within the Western Cape, with the ultimate goal of promoting the province as the green economic hub of South Africa. The two main projects I supported include developing a proposal that aimed at improving waste management policies in the Western Cape, and compiling a map of renewable energy power facilities throughout South Africa using GIS.

As a Student Engineering Scholar, I analyzed numerous facility data sets involving production costs, product mixes, chemical prices, and product quality to examine trends and determine optimal chemical vendors. I utilized Epoch, an environmental compliance software, to evaluate 100+ facility wastewater effluents for concentrations of regulated contaminants. This experience allowed me to apply my knowledge of water, waste, and air regulations to various real world situations.
