After completing my Bachelor’s degree in both Elementary Education and English I went on to receive my Master’s degree in Special Education. I have taught in a number of different schools with various socio-economic backgrounds as well as all types of abilities. After spending a summer as a classroom behavioral specialist at the Bradley School in Portsmouth, RI, I gained experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Behavioral Disorder and cognitive disabilities. I currently am a one on one special educator, where I am able to modify and accommodate to a student, build lesson plans as well as gain experience writing IEP’s.
