In this role, I will contribute to student engagement initiatives and the Radiology Atlas project.

In this role, I represented NC State CVM on the national level, served on administrative committees, held organization meetings, and facilitated many activities throughout the year.

In this role, I attended national meetings to collaborate with vet students and veterinarians globally, and I assisted the SAVMA Chapter President in organizing campus events and supporting students clubs.

The Veterinary Scholars Program at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine allows current DVM students to spend their summer working directly with CVM faculty on a research project to culminate in a poster presentation at the end of the summer. Funded by an NIH T35 Grant, my project focuses on addressing a lack of adequate surgical teaching models as emphasized by circumstances requiring off-site learning. Specifically, I am developing a 3D printed model to emphasize surgical oncology concepts including clinical decision making, margin demarcation, tumor excision, and inking of margins.

Veterinary Cardiac Genetics Laboratory.

Carried out experiments to analyze efficacy of animal-assisted activities as a form of therapy, coded video recordings for mind-mindedness comments, analyzed data using SPSS and Microsoft Excel, and drafted papers for publication.
