• Communication skills- I communicate daily with fellow physical therapists in order better my own skills. I communicate as well with multiple physicians in order to provide the best care for each patient. My communication with my patients is the most important- my patients will always come first!• Problem solving- Each patient comes in with varying deficits- no two patients are the same. I use my problem solving skills in order to tailor a specific plan of care for each patient!• Education- Being the only Pelvic Health therapist in the area, I provide education to fellow coworkers as well as patients on varying ailments. I believe education is key in order to get my patients back on the right track. My education for coworkers and patients is extensive so that everyone is able to contribute.• Teamwork leadership- Physical therapy is a team effort. I am consistently working with other physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and patient care coordinators in order to better the flow of the clinic.• Leadership skills- As a physical therapist, I am in charge of creating tailored treatment plans for my patients. I am also in charge of guiding physical therapy assistants with the treatments I have created for my patients and ensuring that these plan of cares are carried out correctly. I lead patient care coordinators in planning my schedule as well as my patient’s schedules. I lead treatments as well by communicating with physicians for my patients for better treatment plans.• Documentation- With each patient comes computerized documentation that is completely daily. This documentation includes patient’s subjective comments, patient’s objection measurements, activities performed during patient’s session, and the assessment of patient’s performance. Since I am in a fast paced environment, I ensure that documentation is timely done with detailed notes documented. Organization and detail is key in order to ensure insurance is approving patient care.
