Hi, my name is Abby. I am a candidate for MMPA Class 2023 ( Master of Management and Professional Accounting program ) at the University of Toronto. As a recent graduate of Rotman Commerce at UofT with a specialization in Finance & Economics, I am now on my CPA pathway through the MMPA program. I am also currently working towards my CFA designation this fall. Through my undergraduate study, I grew my professional experiences. I have gained essential workplace skills, such as leadership, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving.Influenced by my family, I have always been interested in business, and inspired me to co-found the OWL VR experience center. This gaming business really helps me cultivate strong customer service, client relationships, and accelerate my communication skill. It also further developed my business acumen and saved my path to becoming a professional accountant. Through my internship experience as a financial analyst intern for ZL Construction Engineering Group, I discovered the implicit bridge between corporate finance and accounting. Also, I recognized that my undergraduate degree in finance & economics and my current study in accounting will be essential to my long-term career path, which drove me to join the MMPA program in September 2021.
