I think that it is safe to say that I can appreciate the value of work. I have been saving the money that I earned for university since before I started high school and in 2027 I hope to be the first person in my immediate family to hold a university degree. More recently, the summer before my last year of high school I volunteered at the SSEA and helped with specimen collection, among other small tasks. In my grade 12 year, I worked two jobs in order to reach my savings goal before I moved to Waterloo to start my studies. The start of my university career had no fewer trials, as my ambition keeps me out of my comfort zone. In my first term, I completed a personal training certification from ISSA and secured a job at one of the gyms on campus. All of these trials were a product of self-made goals, and I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to face these challenges and lucky enough to be successful. I am passionate about learning new skills, solving problems. I am always open to new and interesting opportunities, even if they are out of my comfort zone, so please reach out if you think someone like me would be a great fit for you!
