I create successful strategies for all stages of recruiting: establish relationships with law firms of all sizes, financial institutions and other companies, identify core needs, craft recruitment plans, source and educate prospective associate, counsel and partner hires, assess and introduce candidates, work with candidates to finalize application materials and prepare for interviews, finalize offers, and facilitate transitions for new hires.I assist law firms and other institutions with their hiring needs, and I work with associate, counsel and partner candidates in all fields of law on law firm and in-house placements. My focus is primarily on the New York, Boston and European markets. Work included drafting annual reports (20-Fs) for Argentine and Brazilian clients, and assisting with IPOs, other various security offerings and merger and acquisition work for U.S., Latin American and European companies, as well as sovereign nations. Pro bono cases included representation of an asylum client fleeing FGM, forced marriage and domestic violence; assisting a United Nations agency in revising complaint review procedures; and helping design an inheritance rights project for an African NGO. Sanctuary for Families’ Center for Battered Women’s Legal Services 2008 “Above and Beyond” Honoree for Excellence in Pro Bono Advocacy. Assisted Special Counsel to the House of Representatives in Impeachment Investigation and Trial of New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice David A. Brock and counsel for transportation authority in trial involving controversial advertisements; participated in deposition and trial preparation; wrote affidavits and memoranda; conducted witness interviews; participated in four pro bono immigration and asylum cases.

Studied refugee rights in Spain as intern for the Comité Internacional de Rescate (International Rescue Committee). Interviewed asylum-seekers; wrote reports supporting asylum claims; aided applicants for third country resettlement; taught courses for refugees to be resettled in U.S.; translated documents; conducted primary research on European NGOs; interviewed U.S. resettlement applicants at Rome office for one month.

Helped plan 22nd Annual Round Table on Current Problems of Humanitarian Law; co-wrote Round Table conclusions for panel; represented the IIHL at United Nations Committee sessions; conducted research on European Immigration and Asylum Policy; awarded IIHL scholarship to attend Refugee Law course.
