Abby Heidari is a registered dietitian-nutritionist with over 19 years of expertise, currently based in the Kansas City metro area. Abby’s focus lies in supporting high school and club sports team coaches, athletes, and parents in learning to optimize performance through nutrition, fueling the whole plate one bite at a time. Driven by her passion for sharing evidence-based nutrition insights, Abby also serves as the Director of Nutrition for the Kansas Beef Council, leading initiatives like the Sports Nutrition Game Plan program, which offers valuable education resources to Kansas high schools, free of charge. Abby's journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Kansas State University, laying the foundation for a diverse career path. She has lent her expertise to roles such as a clinical dietitian for HCA Midwest Health and as a retail dietitian for Hy-Vee grocery stores. Additionally, she has contributed to community wellness as a Y Weight Management facilitator for the Greater Kansas City YMCA.Committed to staying abreast of the latest trends and research, Abby is an active member of both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Sport and Human Performance Nutrition practice group and the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association.
