I mostly work part time in the older preschool classroom as a support for the mentor teacher and classroom teacher, but I have substituted in other classrooms at the ECC.

I work 14 hours/week in the older toddler classroom under my mentor teacher in order to learn the Reggio Emilia approach in a hands on, interactive way. I am receiving course credit for this internship through my degree program at CSU.

My duties include organizing meetings and character-building activities, attending weekly team meetings, bible studies, and "clubs". The job also includes going to the middle school and meeting one-on-one with the girls who I lead.

The job included managing the waitlist and making sure every customer was satisfied by the time they sat down at their table. It included clearing tables, making sure customers had everything they needed, and running food when necessary. This job required good people skills, time-management skills, that I work well under pressure, and diligence. It was important that I aim for excellence to give each customer a satisfying dining experience. The goal was for each customer to feel like they were a part of our family at The Last Steep, so very good treatment of the customers was absolutely essential.
