Federal Occupational Health

• Created a base wide communication management system providing leadership an organized resource to expediently disseminate critical information to the 140 tenant commands improving overall readiness.

• Initiated a Health Promotion Program that improved the command’s health standards. Established a committee to promote positive lifestyle changes, improve the physical fitness program, and support tobacco cessation earning the command the “Green H”, an annual unit health and wellness award recognizing improved military readiness. • Led the training program for over 100 personnel. Mentored 15 new Sailors using counseling and goal setting.

• Provided personnel recovery, survival, and code of conduct training for over 700 high-risk of capture military members while mitigating risks and unnecessary expenditures required for training.

• Flew 1,000 hours in a Navy Knighthawk helicopter with consistent emphasis on aircraft and crew safety. Led crews of five people as Helicopter Aircraft Commander; strategically planned and coordinated missions in support of global operations worldwide. • Commanded 65 medical flight evacuations in combat conditions in Kuwait and Iraq resulting in the safe transfer of over 80 patients in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. • Led 17 personnel responsible for maintenance of 4 helicopters, valued over $80 million, ensuring uninterrupted execution of medical flight evacuations in Basra, Iraq.• Developed and implemented the training program for 25 pilots resulting in 100% qualification currency preparing the squadron for deployments and operational activity worldwide. Personally trained and evaluated 15 junior pilots to become effective and reliable medical flight evacuation pilots in command of multiple helicopters. • Commanding Officer’s direct representative for Navy legal matters in regards to investigations, legal proceedings, and punishment. Processed Powers of Attorney, prepared citizenship packages, and provided reliable legal referral and assistance.
