CurrentThe power station where I work consists of 11 gas turbines (Solar® Turbines: 8 Centaur 50&3 Taurus 60), 2 switch-gears (ABB® unigear ZS1), 2 emergency diesel generators (Cummins), 3 Aux. air compressors (IR dry&wet compressors), Aux. centrifugal pumps (Goulds pump), gas conditioning skid, 3 step down transformers and 11 step up transformersAs a senior turbines/rotating equipment engineer, I'm responsible for:- Ensure reliable and safe operation for power generation units, calculate… Show more The power station where I work consists of 11 gas turbines (Solar® Turbines: 8 Centaur 50&3 Taurus 60), 2 switch-gears (ABB® unigear ZS1), 2 emergency diesel generators (Cummins), 3 Aux. air compressors (IR dry&wet compressors), Aux. centrifugal pumps (Goulds pump), gas conditioning skid, 3 step down transformers and 11 step up transformersAs a senior turbines/rotating equipment engineer, I'm responsible for:- Ensure reliable and safe operation for power generation units, calculate quantities of fuel required and ensure proper setting for load shedding systems and switchgear panels- Supervise gas turbines performance test at manufacturer facility (for new core engine and gearbox prior to exchange and overhaul)-Review stock items levels and perform technical evaluation and acceptance for equipment's Spare parts- Operation of power station auxiliary systems and supervise other disciplines maintenance activities for these equipment- Review coordination studies for Power Transmission Lines and apply to protection relays- Perform mechanical and electrical isolation required prior to maintenance activities Show less
