Successfully supervised and managed the teams on multiple projects in financial, manufacturing and public sector entities: During my association with Deloitte Pakistan, I have performed the following responsibilities:• Managed a business process review engagement of a general insurance sector and supervised the development of 39 policies and procedures of various business processes and ToRs of management and Board's committees. The key policies and procedures included risk management, underwriting, co-insurance, re-insurance, anti-money laundering, anti-fraud, compliance, HR, admin and finance processes.• Led an internal audit co-sourcing engagement under the supervision of Group Head of Internal Audit of a multi-national chemical manufacturer and completed the engagement within tight deadlines.• Led the team for the establishment of an internal audit function in various government entities. The tasks involved development of an internal audit plan of four (04) departments, review of internal audit charter, development of internal audit strategy and internal audit policies and procedural manual and execution of internal audits. The scope of work also included imparting of internal audit training to 50 internal audit staff.• Managed internal audit engagements of FMCG and health sector clients.

Worked with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co, a member firm of KPMG network as a Supervisory Senior Internal Auditor with experience in Internal Auditing and Consulting Services. My Job role included supervising the work of internal audit team according to internal work plan as well as to work as a team member on assignments according to the overall requirement of engagement. My key responsibilities included:- Developing Risk-based Internal Audit Plan- Engagement Planning- Preparation of Audit Program- To devise audit strategy and plans to ensure the effectiveness of audit. Reviewing of the company's policies and procedures and operation to ensure compliance with statute and IFRS. Further, also ensuring the compliance with best practices followed by particular industry.- Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls and procedures. - Ongoing Engagement Review, including providing guidance to assistants, conducting the brainstorming session, review of working papers.- Discuss audit findings with Line Manager and Senior Management.- Conducting meetings with client’s key personnel to discuss issues identified during the audit.- Finalization of assignments and preparation of the report.- Report risk management issues and deficiency to the internal audit committee and provide the recommendation to management to rectify the issue identified.
