Provide consultations designing VDI solutions, Implementing different VDI components and plan migrations for VDI project

1. Administrate and operate the VMware VDI environment at Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC) that covers more than 5000 users.2. Provide tier III technical support for VDI infrastructure ( Horizon View, vCenter, Liquidware, VXL management server, MS SQL, MS DFS, Load Balancers, networking…)3. Operate & maintain the enterprise computing environment including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, optimization, capacity management and disaster recovery / business continuity planning.4. Expand VDI environment as needed (ESXi, servers, pools, specs, configurations) 5. Provide technical advisory to STC - the client for the best way to deliver, enhance & expand VDI service.6. Ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required security standards7. Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the virtualization environment including Microsoft, VMware and Linux.8. Supports security planning; assessment; risk analysis; and risk management9. Migrate VDI environment to different DB's, storage, Blades.10. Interact with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely resolution to any issues or outages.11. Ensure servers and applications meet proper performance, security and capacity standards, including backups and patching.12. Mentor junior members of the Infrastructure team as needed.13. Provide proactive analyses of key metrics, health checks and departmental priorities14. Automate and monitor the infrastructure and systems.

Define, deliver, and support plans for implementing appropriate information technologies for VDI users and environment.8. Coordinate with different international providers and STC to enhance and plan VDI environment and used solutions like VMware, EMC, Lenovo

• Preparation and supervision on policies, procedures and standards related to information technology staff and systems. • Develop and implement quality improvement activities and policies and maintain a system for outcomes measurement. • Fulfill documentation and reporting requirements for ITU to Quality Department.

• Research, analyze, document and evaluate new technologies, as well as analyzing processes and procedures to develop new solutions seeking: a smart campus, inspirational environment, increased productivity & efficiency and to cover current and expected problems.• Develop designs and recommend specifications for new systems as well as enhancements which can be made to existing ones.• Implementing, testing and concept proofing for new (HW/SW) technology trends, systems & solutions.• Provide plans, design, specifications and implementation of computer hardware, software, network components, Audio/Video solutions and control systems.• Prepare RFP, RFQ, and SLA for IT systems with both internal customers & external service providers as well as monitoring service delivery to assure that targets & standards are met.• Preparation and supervision on policies, procedures and standards related to information technology staff and systems.• Direct and motivate Information Technology department members, serve as technical expert providing support to IT Technicians and act as a technical mentor to other engineers.• Keep PY Deanship and IT unit department supervisors updated towards technology trends by attending workshops, IT events & training.• Organize and manage R&D team members to increase their proficiency & efficiency.
