About Abdoul Aziz Traore

I have been working as a Human Resources and Administration Coordinator at Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) since July 2023, managing the human resources and administration functions for one of the largest humanitarian organizations in Burkina Faso. I am in charge of recruiting, training, and supporting NRC staff, as well as ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures, and the local labor laws and regulations. With more than seven years of experience in humanitarian and development projects, I have gained expertise in conflict resolution, social media communications, and leadership. I have designed and implemented initiatives that promote peace, democracy, governance, women empowerment, and girls education in Burkina Faso and beyond, working with diverse stakeholders and partners. I am also a proud alumni of YALI and an Obama Foundation Leader, two prestigious programs that have enhanced my skills and network in entrepreneurship and innovation. I am passionate about creating positive impact and contributing to the global goals of sustainable development.
