Impact of reviews on price: Evidence from sentiment analysis of Airbnb reviews in Boston: - Used sentiment analysis to derive quality from reviews - Used spatial econometrics to infer impacts of reviews on price- With logistic regression, random forest, and artificial neural network predicted the likelihood of guests to recommend hosts 2. Satellite data, billions of tweets and demand for clean air: - Inferred concentration of small particulate matter (Pm2.5) from satellite and twitter data- Built a hedonic predictive model with Zillow big data 3. Volatility transmission on the cryptocurrency market: U.S. Dollar vs. Bitcoin and Ethereum: - Modeled with an eGARCH the volatility transmission from the U.S dollar to Bitcoin and Ethereum- Built a predictive model of Bitcoin and Ethereum returns with a recurrent neural network (improved accuracy by 23% from EGARCH4. Beer quality and preferences: sensory analysis of reviews scrapped from beeradvocates.com: - Used R to scrap beer reviews and review scores from beeradvocates.com- Canonical discriminant analysis, principal component analysis, and analysis of variance were used to evaluate the impact of perceived sensory characteristics on beer reviews and review scores. 5.
