We founded Tipot Technologies to provide low cost and fully open source end-to-end Internet of Things R&D and prototyping platform; applications include precision agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, healthcare and smart cities. It also provide services that could complement or enhance the success of its customers. These services include: (1) Integrating different sensors or controlled devices; (2) Customized board design and development; (3) Hardware, firmware and software development for other sensing or control applications; and (4) Application/IoT solution consultation.

The research program of NRL includes development of new algorithms, models, architectures, management schemes, and data communications techniques for next generation networks (e.g., Sensor Networks and Vehicular Networks). It also includes design and management of IoT and Fog/cloud computing with applications to smart cities, smart grids, intelligent transport systems, autonomous vehicles, precision agriculture and industry 4.0.
