I have specialized in Concrete and Infrastructure and my bachelor project was about light rail bridge over Limfjord Aalborg. I therefore worked with COWI A/S and Aarhus Letbane I/S, with external consultant from NIRAS A/S. Summary:The project is about the design of post-tensioned solid flat concrete bridge deck. To have a modern and sustainable the deck is integrated with bicycle track and pedestrian on one side. The general idea is to come up with an alternative light rail alignment for Aalborg light rail, which will contain a new bridge over Limfjord. This newly proposed alignment is a route that connects Aalborg city centre to the Aalborg international airport, crossing over the river, which will therefore contain a bridge construction. The project was handed to COWI A/S for further usage of another attempt to convince Aalborg road authorities to reconstruct, if indeed Aalborg city votes for light rail, the previous alignments was unfortunately rejected by Aalborg municipality.
